II Corinthians 1:3-4 = “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

It’s obvious, according to these verses that God allows us to sometimes experience difficult situations so that we will know from experience what others are going through, and be better able to understand and know how to help them.

One of the greatest examples of that is Coleen Tronson. Coleen is the director of the Metro Women’s Center in Crystal, Minnesota. She has a tremendous testimony of God’s grace and mercy. She has been able to counsel many abortion-minded and post abortion women because of her own abortion experience.

Many of us have things in our past that we would give almost anything to be able to erase from our history. Those experiences are what enable us to be more understanding and more optimistic of God’s ability to rescue those around us from bad experiences they have gone through. May we focus on being a positive example of God’s mercy and grace.

This month Baptists for Life of Wisconsin will be hosting 2 Pro-Life rallies. April 20th we will be at Wyldewood Baptist Church in Oshkosh. Dr. David Gibbs of the Christian Law Association will be the featured speaker. On the 27th of April we will be at Camp Chetek with Evangelist Mike Pelletier as the featured speaker. Both rallies will start at 1:00 PM and there will be a special offering taken and everyone is encouraged to bring baby wipes and baby outfits for the centers.

Please be in prayer for the search committee for BFLW as they seek my successor as director of this ministry. I definitely plan to step down at the end of this year.

I would also like to encourage anyone involved or interested in being involved in a pregnancy center to consider attending our Summit August 17th of this year at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown. It will be a 1 day meeting and there will be no charge. We do need to know how many to plan for, so if you are planning to come, please let us know.

Thank you for all your prayers and support for this important ministry.

In Christ,

Andrew K. Buhrow
Executive Director
