April 2025 Prayer Letter

Psalms 51: 10 = “ Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalms 51 was written by David at a low point in his life. He had just been confronted by the prophet Nathan about his sin with Bathsheba, and he was concerned with restoring his relationship with God. He wanted to “start over” as it were a return to the fellowship he had had with God before that.
As we enter the month of April we see nature all around us once again awaking out of the sleep of Winter and things are starting to grow again. It’s another year. We can forget what kind of harvest we had last year and concentrate on this year’s crop. We, as Christians can also look at this year and realize our harvest at the end of this year won’t depend on last year, whether it was successful or not, but what we do and how we invest in this year. May you invest wisely and faithfully so you might have a bountiful harvest.
We have the results of last year’s essay contest. 1st place Lydia Huffstutler, 2nd Josiah Chesley, 3rd Elisabeth Lazzell, 4th Samuel Seger. There were 3 honorable mentions – Kallei Brown, Emily Boorujy, and Reginald Robertson. Congratulations to you 7 and thank you to all who participated. Our new essay contest information is now on our web site and the theme for this year is “When Does Life Begin?”
This is the month when we hold our 2 pro-life rallies. Our first will be at Faith Baptist Church in Oak Creek on April 12th at 1:00 PM. The 2nd one will be at Camp Chetek on April 26th at 1:00 PM. Dr Randy King will be the featured speaker at both. There will be an offering taken at both rallies and the money will go to a fund to help our pregnancy centers with their expenses. Please pray about what God would have you do in supporting this ministry and these rallies. Even if you are unable to attend you might consider taking up an offering for the rallies in your church. I hope to see many of you there at one of the rallies.
Keep praying that the one God has chosen to be the next director of BFLW will come forward and take the leadership of this important ministry. I plan on doing what I have been doing on a limited basis, but they really need someone full time.
Thank you for all your prayers and support of this important ministry.
In Christ,
Andrew K. Buhrow
