Our Purpose

John 10:10b = “….I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The context of this statement was that Jesus was comparing Himself to thieves and robbers. Their goal was to kill and destroy while His was to not only give us life , but abundant life. In my day I have met a lot of people going through the motions of being a Christian but without any joy in their life. Some of them even feel like they are missing out because they don’t feel they can do some things as a Christian that they would like to do. They really are not enjoying their relationship with Christ.

Andrew BuhrowI have found that living life as a Christian has been a lot more enjoyable than the way I lived before. The devil uses all kinds of activities and enticements to attract people to a sinful way of life that leave people broken, disappointed, and empty. The Christian life give opportunities to experience blessings and fulfillment that the world cannot offer. God gave us life and a plan for us to follow to make that life rewarding and worth living. Are you enjoying the “Abundant Life”?

I have mentioned the importance of praying at an abortion clinic. We are told that when people are praying there the number of abortions goes down by as much as 75%. Tarry One Hour is a ministry that focuses on doing this. They are having a counseling class to train people for witnessing at an abortion clinic. It will be on Monday, August 12th from 6:00 PM—7:30 PM at Tippecanoe Library, 3912 S. Howell Ave., Milwaukee. I would urge you to attend if you could. This could be a real help to prepare you and challenge you to be involved in this important ministry.

Nancy and I have been able to keep busy this Summer with a pretty full slate of churches to minister in and share our ministry. I appreciate all your prayers for us.

Yours for the unborn,

Andrew K. Buhrow—Executive Director—Baptists for Life of Wisconsin
