August 2023 Prayer Letter

Psalms 115:3 = “But our God is in the heavens: He hath done whatsoever He hath pleased.” When we couple this statement with Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called according to His purpose,” I am so glad I understood God’s plan of redemption and placed my faith in Christ’s finished work on Calvary and I became a child of God. I am grateful that it pleased God to save me and choses to orchestrate everything that has to do with me for my benefit.
Summer is going by so fast and there is still much to be done before the busyness of the Fall program takes over. Fund raising by our Centers is a year round activity with walks and runs for life in the Summer, banquets and rallies in the Fall, and baby bottle boomerangs in the Winter. Be sure you get involved in some way so the centers can keep doing the work they were designed for.
As of July 1st I have started my 12th year of serving as the director of Baptists for Life of Wisconsin. It has been a tremendous blessing to serve the Lord in this capacity. I plan to step down at the end of next year when I turn 80. Please be in prayer for this ministry as we seek someone to replace me. There is no shortage of people capable of doing what I have been doing, however there may be a shortage of people who are willing or have the passion for the ministry. Pray that God shows us who He has prepared for this ministry.
My schedule is set for this year, but next year is pretty open. If you would like to have me come next year please let me know. I would love to share this ministry in your church.
Thank you for all your prayers and support of this important ministry.
In Christ,
Andrew K. Buhrow
Executive Director
Baptists for Life of Wisconsin
