Luke 2:1 = “And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.” It is interesting that one of the accounts of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, in the Bible would be introduced by an occasion such as this. What would have seemed to be a great difficulty on the surface was something God was using to accomplish His perfect plan. Similar events in the Bible were Esther becoming queen, and Joseph being sold by his brothers.

It is hard for us to see how God could use our present situation in the world for His glory and to accomplish His perfect plan, but we can take comfort that it will. Let’s just keep being faithful in doing our part.

I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a blessed and merry Christmas and praying that we are all celebrating the season the way God intended and for the reasons we are observing it. The fact that God loved me so much that He sent His most precious possession, His only begotten Son, to provide salvation and eternal life for me in heaven is my motivation for any celebrating I will be doing.

Because Roe-Vs-Wade has been overturned those of us who are pro-life have much work to do. Women who would have been able to abort her babies are now going to need help providing for their children. Hopefully our pregnancy centers will be able to help meet those needs and give counsel and direction to them at this important time in their lives. Please be in prayer about what the Lord would have you do.

As I announced, I will be stepping down as Director of Baptists for Life of Wisconsin at the end of next year. Please be in prayer as to what God would have for this ministry. The question has been raised as to whether this ministry should continue. I feel it is important and relevant and should continue. Perhaps you could let us know what you think. Also, be in prayer that if we do continue, that God will show us who He would have to lead this ministry. Also pray that if we are to have a younger man leading this ministry that we would have the finances to do so.

Thank you for all your prayers and support of this important ministry.

In Christ,

Andrew K. Buhrow
