Isaiah 9:6 = “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given…. As we enter the Christmas season, we want to make sure that we celebrate this time of the year for the right reason and with the right emphasis. Christmas is all about God giving us His Son to come to earth to provide redemption for us. Without Christ we would live our entire life as condemned sinners destined for an eternity in hell. I am so thankful for the hope that God gave us through Jesus Christ and that it is not a hope-so hope, but a know-so hope. Let’s really appreciate the gift God gave us this year.
This month I will be preparing for next year and focusing on the importance of every life that has been conceived having the opportunity to fulfill the purpose God designed them for. This next year will be my last as I will be stepping down as director of Baptists for Life of Wisconsin at the end of it. These past 11 1/2 years have flown by so quickly and Nancy and I have been blessed so much by so many that we wouldn’t be able to count them all. Please be in prayer that a new director will be found to carry on this ministry. I believe it is still relevant and needed.
Our essay contest for high school students ends at the end of January so encourage your young people to write and submit one soon. The theme this year is “Being Pro-Life and Christlike”. The guidelines can be found at www.bflw.org/essays.
I trust you will have a blessed and merry Christmas, and a happy and prosperous New Year. Thank you for all your prayers and support of this important ministry.
