EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Salvation

Ron
Ron served in the U.S. Navy for eight years and was licensed as a Southern Baptist pastor during that time. After completing his final tour of duty, he and Tina returned home to Northern Illinois and searched for a Southern Baptist church but could not find one nearby. Believing Independent Baptist churches were similar, they began attending Calvary Baptist Church in Belvidere, IL. After three or four months, the church held evangelistic meetings in which the evangelist preached on how pride can keep a person from heaven. Deeply convicted and realizing he was not saved, Ron trusted Christ as his personal Saviour on February 17, 1991.

Tina
As a child, Tina attended church occasionally, and the Lord used those experiences to prepare her heart. During her school years, she went with her parents to a Lutheran church. Later, a school friend invited her to special meetings at a nearby Baptist church, where she came under conviction and trusted Christ as her Saviour at about age 13. Her spiritual growth was gradual as she continued attending church with her parents until she and Ron were married. After she began attending a Southern Baptist church, she grew spiritually as she came to understand that her relationship with the Lord was deeply personal.

Children

Ron and Tina have three children, all of whom have served alongside them on the mission field and continue to serve the Lord in various ways.

Rebekah- Rebekah served with us on the mission field from 2014 to 2020 and has served as a missionary in Ukraine since 2021.

Leah- Leah served with us on the mission field in Cambodia for three years. Since 2015, she has served as church secretary at Falls Baptist Church and now also serves as the church bookkeeper.

Jonathon- Jonathon ministered with Ron and Tina in Cambodia at various times over several years. He is now a paramedic, serves in multiple church ministries, and is married with three children.

Mission Fields

Russia- Our first field of ministry was Siberia, Russia. We were there from June of 2000 until June of 2003 trying to learn the language and working with a local national Russian church in different outreaches including posting Russian sermons on SermonAudio. In 2003, when we went to get our visas renewed, the government informed us that they would not renew our visas.

Cambodia- Early in 2004, we started receiving calls for us to consider going to Cambodia. We arrived in Cambodia in October 2004. Shortly after arriving in Cambodia, we were able to start a church in the city of Takhmau.

In April 2004, we were also able to start a Bible institute in which Ron trained men and women from the church in Takhmau along with 8 other churches that have been started by BWM missionaries. We were able to train ten national pastors for the existing churches.

In the Bible College (which was started in November 2012), we trained up to 10 students for a 3-year period in Bible, English, Computer, History, Science, and Math, along with various other smaller courses. The purpose of the college was so that the students would be a valuable asset to the local church in tithes and in teaching capabilities.

We left Cambodia in 2019, realizing that we had completed our ministry goals for going there and had no prospective students for at least 5 more years.

Cape Town, South Africa- We arrived in 2020 to help the other missionaries in their current ministries of strengthening the existing church (guiding them into their own building) as well as planting new churches in that area.

We started a Bible Institute is used to train church members and others interested in the Word of God, helping them to apply them to their lives. We also had a technical school to teach technical skills to those in need while also having Bible classes to prepare these individuals to serve the Lord in the workplace environment.

We retired from missionary work at the end of June 2026.
