Jeremiah 9:23 & 24 = “Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches; But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgement, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.”

It seems common practice for people to consider themselves authorities in various issues and circumstances because of either wisdom they have gained, abilities they have developed, or possessions they have accumulated. As a result some people are considered important because of the degrees connected to their name. Some base their importance on how good they are in some athletic ability. Then there are those that believe their word should carry more influence because they are wealthy. According to the verses quoted earlier, the only thing that really gives us credibility is our knowledge and confidence in our Lord. I ran across a quote that said “ if you are a believer you are not entitled to any opinion that contradicts the Word of God”. Let’s focus our glorying on the fact we understand and know our God.

During the month of January I was able to attend the board meetings of 3 of our 4 pregnancy centers. I was blessed and encouraged by the reports from each. All the centers have to address the issue of raising money to fund their ministry. One fund raiser that the Agape Pregnancy Resource Center in LaCrosse has used is the Faster Pastor race. The LaCrosse Speedway has allowed us to do that again this year and it will be on the 8th of June. Each church has to supply their own 4 or 6 cylinder car and you can leave it there when the race is over if you like. It is for pastors or someone in their church that the pastor designates to drive in his place. It could be a man or a woman. If you are interested you can contact me via email or call 608-780-4576. My son saw the racing community as a mission field and so do I. For every ticket we sell for the races 50% goes to the Agape Center and over the years we have raised about $1,000 each year.

We received 22 essays for the essay contest this year. Thank you to all those who competed. Our new essay for 2024 is “THE POTENTIAL OF A LIFE”. May the Lord continue to challenge each generation to value the importance of life.

Our annual meeting for BFLW will be March 16th at 10:30 AM at Berea Baptist Church in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. We hope to have a candidate to replace me that can meet with the executive committee at that meeting. Pray that God will make clear to us who He would have to lead this important ministry.

Thank you for all your prayers and support for this important ministry.

In Christ,
