How blind are the eyes, minds, and hearts of the American people?

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them that believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, Who is the image of God, should shine unto them. II Cor. 4:3-4.
I continue to marvel at how up to date is the Word of God, the Bible, and how accurately it describes the majority of the American people today. In the last six months our nation has been forced by the highest court in the land to recognize “Same Sex Marriage,” legitimizing the union of two “Gay” (so called) individuals, who the Bible calls Sodomites, in what for thousands of years has been reserved for one man and one woman by Almighty God. Then, on top of this, the American people have been exposed to the hideous spectacle of Planned Parenthood selling the body parts of precious unborn infants ripped from the womb for profit, and how it facilitates the purchase of luxury sports cars by its executives.
And how have the majority of the American people responded? Absolute silence! Can they not understand that the very fabric of our society is being ripped to pieces by a cadre of Godless elitists, who care not a whit that they are destroying the greatest and most glorious system of human government in the history of the world? Make no mistake dear friends, the destruction of America is not the result of human action alone, but is being orchestrated behind the scenes by demonic forces hell bent on destroying our way of life, and all vestiges of the Christian faith that made our country the greatest nation on earth.
The Word of God has the answer. The great Apostle to the Gentiles brings this into clear perspective in his Second Epistle to the Corinthian Church. The god of this world, Satan, is working at breakneck speed to plunge the American people into the darkness of unbelief, thereby damming them to a Christless eternity. The evil one is at this very moment blinding minds and hearts of the people to accept the lie that there is no God, or that He is a vengeful, hateful being, Who enjoys bringing pain and misery upon those who break His holy law. NOTHING DEAR FRIENDS CAN BE FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH.
The Bible states that God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16. Jesus Christ died for you and for me, that we through faith in His perfect, once for all sacrifice on the cross of Calvary, would be granted eternal life with Him in a glorious place called heaven. Satan is doing everything in his power to turn men and women away from God and the message of the glorious gospel of Christ, to atheism, or a convoluted salvation based upon a system of good works. Satan would have us believe that what the Bible calls sin (transgression of the law of God) is just mistakes, or bad decisions. Oh no friends, sin must be punished, as it is written, the soul that sinneth it shall die. Ezek. 18:20. Jesus chose to take our punishment for sin upon Himself, dying in our place for our sins. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God…” I Peter 3:18a.
Have you trusted Christ, and Him alone to be your Savior? Satan delights in your unbelief, and will continue to deceive you in believing that you are really a good person, too good to be punished eternally in a terrible place called hell, where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Mk. 9:44. Oh sinner friend, come to Jesus today. You can come just as you are. He will receive you, a sinner who realizes that you can do nothing to earn salvation from sin. Call upon Him just now. He will hear you, and will save your trusting soul as you cast yourself completely upon Him. Do it today. You will never regret it. I did this very thing over 40 years ago, and I can tell you that it was the greatest decision of my life. Jesus said, Come unto Me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matt. 11:28. I came, and His “rest” is wonderful.
