The Bible declares in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

“All means all and that’s all that it means”. All scripture or all of the Word of God is given by inspiration of God and is beneficial for what’s right, for what’s not right, for how to get right and for how to stay right: That the man of God may be complete, having all that he requires to carry out the work God has called him to do.

Therefore, the Scripture is applicable to every area of life. The word inspiration, used in 2 Timothy 3:16; means God-breathed. Inspiration is an act of God, whereby God Himself through the Holy Spirit directed or told the human writers to pen the exact very words of the Bible. All scripture, the entire Bible is God-breathed. The inspiration of the whole bible took place with the original writers when they were moved by the Holy Ghost to write the original texts in the languages they spoke. Scripture is not comprised of the mere thoughts of God penned by human hands nor does it merely contain the word of God as some would say and want us to believe; it is the very words of an almighty God from beginning to end.

Several years ago we started a faith based addictions ministry in our church. Reformers Unanimous has Ten Principles to Conquer Stubborn Habits faced in our daily lives. Principle #1 states, “If God’s against it so am I.” It’s a simple principle, yet profoundly impacts our lives and the lives of others. We don’t get to choose What’s Right, What’s Not Right, How to Get Right and How to Stay Right with God. God has clearly stated in his Word how to be right with Him. Who are we to do otherwise and still please a Holy God?

God declares, in the Book of Proverbs; six things that He hates! We will only focus on the first three.

Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood…

The first thing the LORD hates is a proud look or eyes that reveal our selfish prideful thoughts. Our pride attempts to elevate our thoughts above God’s thoughts. Pride is the root of disobedience and rebellion against God. The devil rebelled against God and lifted up his heart in pride. God resisteth the proud.

Isaiah 14:13-14 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.James 4:6-8 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Pride is evidenced in our lives anytime we lift up what we want, think and feel above what God wants, thinks and feels. Pride is sin!

The second thing the LORD hates is a lying tongue which knowingly, willingly with intention attempts to deceive others.

Jesus describes the Scribes and Pharisees, these religious leaders; as follows:

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

When any man lies, he acts like the father of all lies the devil.

Ephesians 4:14-15 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Don’t be deceived by the lies of men who have already been deceived by the devil. Lying is sin! Those who speak the truth in love, reflect the God of truth and His love for all sinners.

The third thing the LORD hates is hands that shed innocent blood of those who have injured none.

Deuteronomy 5:17 Thou shalt not kill.

God commands “Thou shalt not kill” or thou shall do no murder. The LORD hates the shedding of innocent blood because it’s murder.

Again in John 8:44 “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning…”

The one who murders acts upon his own lusts, and resembles the devil the murderer from the beginning. Murder is sin! Abortion is the taking of a human life, the one who is innocent and has injured none.

Those standing, speaking and working for the preservation of life, at all stages from conception to natural death; adhere to the teachings of the Word of God. God is the creator and giver of life. God is Life!

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Job 33:4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

Psalms 139:13-14 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

These three sins the LORD hates, a proud look, a lying tongue and hands that shed innocent blood. These sins the devil commits, who exalts himself above God, who is a liar and the father of it and who is a murderer from the beginning. The abortion industry is predicated on the furtherance of these three sins.

We are all guilty sinners before a holy God. We all sin!

If you want a life that is transformed, it starts with Christ’s offer of salvation and a personal relationship with Him.

Romans 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

After asking Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior, you must decide “If God’s against it, so am I!

Will you take that stand in your life and for those who cannot speak for themselves?

I am so thankful for those who stand, speak and work, serving on the front lines in the Women’s and Pregnancy Resource Centers in this State.
