Psalms 116:1 & 2 = “I love the Lord because He hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because He hath inclined His ear unto me, therefore will I call upon Him as long as I live.”

Andrew BuhrowI really do appreciate knowing I am not facing life and its challenges alone. I enjoy knowing that I have God watching out for me and orchestrating everything for my good and His glory. I also have relatives and friends that do not have that resource available to them because of their unwillingness to accept what Christ did for them on the cross of Calvary. As sad as that is, what concerns me more are the millions who will never get a chance to trust Christ and allow Him to guide them through life because they were never given the opportunity to live. Are we doing all that we can to see to it they do get that chance?

Nancy and I have managed to stay busy this Summer with her working as director at the Agape Pregnancy Resource Center in La Crosse and both of us traveling each weekend to churches to present the ministry of Baptists for Life of Wisconsin. During the month of June we were in 4 churches, attended 1 pregnancy center board meeting and had our BFLW quarterly board meeting as well. I praise the Lord for the support and unity of our board members.

We finally have the results of our essay and video contests. We only had two participate in our video contest again this year so we have decided we would suspend this until we can revise it in a way that Christian school groups or church youth groups can get involved on a monthly basis. The winners this year for the video contest were: Aiden Hunter of Wisconsin Dells—First place, and Samuel Spoonhour of Monroe—Second place.

For the essay contest we had over 50 entries. First place—Benjamin Veenstra of Watertown, Second place—Timothy Davis of Watertown, and Third place—Jack Borke of Parma, Ohio. A big thank you to all who participated and congratulations to all who won awards.

This next year we have moved the deadline back to January 31st so we will be able to have the winner of our essay contest read it at our rally. Our theme this time is “The Option of Adoption.” The guidelines are posted on our web site.

Continue to pray for our pregnancy centers that they will have an impact on their clients and that they will have the resources and volunteers they need to accomplish what God gives them the opportunity to do. Could I also encourage you to consider praying outside an abortion clinic that the Lord will work in the hearts of clients to change their minds about murdering their own children. Your prayers will make a difference.

Thank you for your prayers and support for this important ministry. It is because of you that we are able to do what we do. May the Lord bless you for it.

Yours for the unborn,

Andrew K. Buhrow—Executive Director—Baptists for Life of Wisconsin
