July 2023 Prayer Letter

I Corinthians 2:14 & 16 = But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him….But we have the mind of Christ.
It is rather mind-boggling to me that there are people that are so convinced that murdering babies is not only acceptable, but should be a right for every parent to do. Then I read passages like the one quoted above and I kind of understand. Not everyone has the ability to discern what is right and what is wrong. That is something the Lord gives us with the new birth. It isn’t new pro-life laws that we need. It is more people born again by the Spirit of God that will educate them to the truth as to what is right and what is wrong. It is really sad to hear of some church leaders advocating for women to have the right to kill their babies. It’s obvious they do not have the Spirit of God dwelling in them.
This month marks the start of my 12th year as the director of BFLW. These last 11 years have gone by so quickly and have been such a blessing for Nancy and me.
We have now gone a full year since Roe -V- Wade was overturned and, for this State it has meant that abortion is illegal. The battle for the life of the unborn is not over. We have people working hard to overturn our abortion law and we have others working hard to circumvent our laws. We still need a lot of prayer and there is still much work to do.
There are at least 4 pro-life and pro-family bills being considered by our Senate here in Wisconsin. Senate bill 343 clarifies the definition of abortion in state statute. Senate bill 344 increases the dollar amount taxpayers can claim as an exemption for every dependent, including children ages 0 to 17, from $700 to $1,000. Senate bill 345 funds Wisconsin Pregnancy Care Centers with a $1 million annual grant to Choose Life Wisconsin, Inc. Senate bill 346 creates an Adoption Financial Assistance Grant Program designed to make adoption available to more Wisconsin families. “These bills demonstrate what the pro-life movement is ultimately really all about—creating a true culture of life. The best way we can celebrate the one-year anniversary of the overturning of Roe is to actively, purposefully support life, and these bills are an opportunity for Wisconsin to do just that.” (Julaine Appling)
Thank you for all your prayers and support of this important ministry.
