June 2025 Prayer Letter

Prayer Letters

Ecclesiastes 3:1 – 2a “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born and a time to die.” Generally, every daily newspaper will carry a list of births at the local hospitals and a section listing the obituaries of people who have passed away. Most of the people who were alive when I was born are no longer here. As I look back on my 80 years, it seems so brief a time and so little was accomplished. And yet, I have many fond memories and have enjoyed some very fortunate experiences. It truly was a life worth living.

Sadly, there are those who weren’t allowed their day in the sun, so-to-speak because they were never allowed to live. There are still many it the world that believe their happiness and their plans are so important that they feel justified in destroying another person that might hinder their plans. All of us have needed others at some point in our lives to help us to survive in this world. As a result, we should count it a privilege to help everyone we can in their fight for survival.

My wife, Nancy and I have enjoyed our large family. They are our greatest joy. There are 87 in our family, but only 39 of them contain any of our DNA. Through marriage and adoption the other 48 have become a part of us. There were another 17 we took care of for a brief time through foster care as well. It was our privilege to help them toward achieving their potential in life. I trust you are doing whatever you can to help as many as possible to live their lives to their fullest potential.

With Summer coming and vacations planned we tend to forget there is still a battle going on over the abortion issue. Let’s pray for those in public office as the consider bills that would affect the unborn and their future. Pray that people will see that abortion is murder and realize everyone ought to have the right to the opportunity to live.

Also pray that the person God has been preparing to succeed me as director of Baptists for Life of Wisconsin will step up so this ministry can continue to move forward.

Thank you for all your prayers and support of this important ministry.

In Christ,

Andrew K. Buhrow
