November 2025 Prayer Letter

Prayer Letters

Philippians 3:10 = “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made comformable unto His death”. According to the Bible a person need only to repent of their sins, put their trust in Jesus Christ and what He did for them on the cross of Calvary, and they will be saved. No other “work” is needed. To some that means that then they can live any way they want to. They don’t have to read their Bible, they don’t have to go to church, and they don’t have to change anything in their lives. The truth is, however, when a person really understands what it means to be saved and has genuinely put their trust in Jesus Christ, he or she is changed on the inside. It’s no longer about what God can do for them, but what he or she can do for God. A Christian acquires a desire to live to please God and share the joys of being a Christian with those around them.

As someone who has reached his 80s and realizes that passing from this world and entering eternity is not too far in the future, I am comforted in knowing where I am going and all that Jesus Christ did for me to provide a blessed hope. There is nothing He owes me or needs to do for me, but there may be some things I can still do for Him. With that in mind I will do what the verse that’s quoted above says. I will strive to know Christ better, I will spend time comprehending what His death, burial, and resurrection mean to me, and will seek to make my life a living sacrifice for Him.

This is Thanksgiving month with a special day set aside to reflect everything we have been blessed with. I trust you have a grateful heart from the blessings you have enjoyed, but even more than that, I trust that you have lived and treated those around you in such a way that people are thankful for you.

Baptists for Life of Wisconsin is still looking for someone to replace me as the director of this ministry. Please be in prayer as I will not be continuing after this year and there is still much that needs to be done.

Our essay contest for high school students is still in full swing. Our theme is WHEN DOES LIFE BEGIN? The deadline is January 31st and the guidelines can be found at our web site www.bflw.org/essays.

Have a happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you for all your prayers and support of this important ministry.

In Christ,

Andrew K. Buhrow
