I Corinthians 5:10 = “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ….” When the apostle Paul penned these words under the inspiration of God, he considered this a positive thought. In verse 8 he declares “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
Apparently Paul lived in such a way that when he eventually would stand before God, he would not be ashamed. Some 30 times in the Scriptures the phrase “The fear of the Lord” is used, reminding us that God is in charge and some day we will stand before Him. That fact ought to influence everything we do. We need to stand where God stands on every issue which means we need to constantly be studying His Word so we know where that is. That’s why I am pro-life and want to do what I can to make sure every human being conceived has the opportunity to live until God choses to take them home.
Nancy and I had another great month serving the Lord as representatives of Baptists for Life of Wisconsin. We attended 3 pregnancy center fund raisers, 1 Baptist fellowship meeting, preached in 2 churches, and had a good quarterly board meeting. What a blessing we received from all of them. We are encouraged by how well the centers are doing and how the ministry of BFLW is doing. Thank you for your involvement.
I would again like to encourage the participation of those in high school with our essay contest. You can download the instructions from our web site. I have 2 schools the require their English students to write an essay. Other than those schools we have only 2 or 3 other students that will get involved.
Every month we post a devotional on our web site. These are written by the board members of BFLW or they are the top 3 essays form our contest. We would encourage you to go to www.bflw.org and read these pro-life articles. They will give you food for thought in this important work.
Our next special event for BFLW is our annual rally. Our next rally will be held April 18th, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown at 1:00 PM. Our speaker will be Dr. Les Ollila. We encourage you to put this on your calendar and plan to attend.
I am working on my schedule and have openings after February of next year. Let me know if I could come and present our ministry in your church.
Thank you for your prayers and support for this very important ministry.
Yours for the unborn,
Andrew K. Buhrow—Executive Director—Baptists for Life of Wisconsin
