Luke 1:31 = “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.” The angel, Gabriel, went on to tell Mary about this special child she would give birth to. Wouldn’t it be interesting if every woman that was going to have a child was told of the potential that baby had. As I have shared this year in churches I have been at “The potential of each person comes from God, the opportunity to develop to that potential rests with those who have been entrusted with their care.” It’s sad that some people never have a chance to develop to their full potential because of abortion.
During the month of December I have not scheduled any churches to present the ministry of Baptists for Life of Wisconsin. I will be using the time to enjoy the Christmas season with my family and prepare the ministry for the coming year. I already have the first half of 2018 scheduled. Nancy and I are also planning to take a trip to Tennessee to celebrate the adoption of two little girls by our granddaughter. Elizabeth Schneider is also planning to adopt another little baby that she has been caring for along with these two. The unselfishness and the heart my family has for others is the greatest credentials I have for being the director of BFLW.
Our essay and video contests are winding down. The deadline is January 31st, 2018. Please encourage your young people to get involved.
For any churches that are considering observing “Sanctity of Life” Sunday January 21st and would be willing to take up an offering for Baptists for Life of Wisconsin that day, we will have bulletin inserts available. Please let me know how many you need and I will send them to you.
Don’t forget to order your “Choose Life” license plates. This is an opportunity for our centers to receive funds to promote adoption. I want to develop a resource program that could be promoted in our centers and the money generated by the license plate sales will go to help promote adoption.
Nancy and I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a blessed and Happy New Year. We appreciate all your prayers for us and the warm reception we have received as we have come to your churches. Your prayers for my mom’s situation has also been a great blessing to us as well. Continue to pray for God’s will to be done in her life. Thank you all for your faithful support.
In His Service,
Andrew K. Buhrow
