I Corinthians 1:26-29 = “For you see your calling, brethren., how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called; But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise: and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea and things which are not, to bring to naught things that are: That no flesh should glory in His presence.”
I have often referred to these verses as the reason God put me in the ministry. I didn’t have a lot going for me according to the world’s way of evaluating things, so I was a prime candidate for God to use. As a result of being the Director of Baptists for Life of Wisconsin, I consider myself the best known “Nobody” in the State of Wisconsin. I have the privilege of sharing a burden that is heavy on the heart of God with the people of Wisconsin and as an added benefit, I have made a lot of new friends. My desire is that together we might make a difference in rescuing innocent people from a premature death. Not because we are important, but because our cause is important to God.
Nancy and I had the privilege of going to my son Eric’s church for Father’s Day. My son Scott and his wife were also there and Scott and Eric both preached in the morning services and I had the opportunity to conduct the communion service with Scott and Eric serving the elements. My daughter, Martha and granddaughter Ruby, also brought special music. It was a very special “Father’s Day” for me.
Nancy and I will be going to Niagara Falls with our daughter Robin and her husband Dave the last week in June for a short vacation, and then we will be busy getting ready for the summit we will be having for our pregnancy center directors in August. Pray that we will have wisdom to make the summit as profitable as possible.
I am available for speaking is Christian school chapels this Fall to promote our essay and video contests and preach the Word. Let me know if you would like me to come to your school.
Our next Pro-Life rally will be April 21st, 2018 at Wyldewood Baptist Church in Oshkosh, WI. Dr. David Gibbs will be the speaker. We encourage you to mark your calendar and plan to be with us.
Thank you for all your faithful prayers for Nancy and me and this important ministry.
In His Service,
Andrew K. Buhrow
