Psalms 127:3 =“Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.” When Nancy and I got married some 55 years ago, we assumed we would start a family right away. There was no thought of waiting awhile. To us, having children was something married couples did and it was a sign of God’s hand on your marriage.
Even though I wasn’t a Christian, I was aware that there was a God that was at work in the universe. The above verse does tie having children to being blessed by God. Over the years Nancy and I have considered our children our first priority, and grounding them in a personal relationship with the Lord our number one responsibility. Nancy and I consider our children a tremendous reward from God.
May was another busy month for us. I was able to be in 5 churches to present BFLW, attended 1 Fellowship meeting, work with a teen rally, attend a pregnancy board meeting, meet with another individual about planning the new pregnancy center in Watertown, and had a cataract removed.
This month I have 4 churches scheduled, and our quarterly board meeting for BFLW. What a joy it is to be able to serve the Lord in such an important ministry.
Two very important issues I would appreciate prayer for is our upcoming summit we will be having on June 30th and the pregnancy center we are planning to start in Watertown.
The summit will be at Wyldewood Baptist Church 3030 Witzel Ave., Oshkosh, WI from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Two of the speakers will be Colleen Tronson of the Metro Women’s Center in Minnesota, And Sue Nicewander of Biblical Counseling Ministries, Inc. of Wisconsin Rapids. The cost is $20 per person which includes lunch. We would encourage any women who are involved or are considering being involved with a pregnancy center and anyone involved in counselling women to come. We will be dealing with counselling abortion minded clients as well as clients who have gone through an abortion and are having problems as a result. Please contact me to register for the summit. My contact information is on our letterhead.
The other prayer request is about the center we are planning to start in Watertown, WI. Pastor Dean Kurtz is putting together some preliminary plans and we are looking forward to getting area churches and pastors on board. If you are in the Watertown area and want to join us in this project you can contact me or Pastor Kurtz.
Thank you for all the prayers for this important ministry. May the Lord richly bless you for your part in helping those who can’t speak for themselves.
In His Service,
Andrew K. Buhrow
