It has been a privilege to serve as the Director of BFLW, and I very much appreciate the opportunity and enjoy what I am doing. This past year I traveled almost 17,000 miles for the ministry ministering in 38 churches, attended 16 pregnancy center board meetings, set our display up at 7 fellowship meetings, put up our display at the “Men for Christ” rally, delivered the booklets to our elected officials in Madison, oversaw the essay and video contests, held a pro-life rally in Oshkosh, attended the “Life Matters Worldwide” summit in Michigan, and spoke in a Christian School chapel.
This year we again gathered over 1400 signatures for booklets that we delivered to our elected officials in Madison. Included in the booklet were also statements from 3 Baptist Fellowships in the State endorsing our pro-life statement, and a letter from me explaining what we are all about. We were glad to see Planned Parenthood defunded in our State but still have work to do to make it illegal to sell aborted baby body parts.
We had over 40 essays submitted for our essay contest. As of this report I still don’t have the results as to the winners. Again, this year, we only had one video submitted. Aidan Hunter from Dells Baptist Church will receive the 1st place award.
Our next pro-life rally is scheduled for April 22nd at Faith Baptist Church of Oak Creek. Julaine Appling is our featured speaker. We are also planning to host a summit for all our pregnancy workers and anyone interested in getting involved with a center August 11th and 12th at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown. Pray that we will have wisdom to make the summit profitable for the ladies.
As a result of the election, the following people were elected for a two year term on the board of BFLW. They are: Pastor Rick Rogers, Pastor Jason Brenenstuhl, Julaine Appling, Pastor Tom Loggans, and Pastor Eric Buhrow. It does concern me that only 8 people voted in this election meaning that not even all my board members voted.
This year I would like to get into more Christian schools to promote our essay and video contests. I already have spoken in 3 of them this year. I am also working on developing an adoption program with our centers. I would like to compile a book of families in our churches that are wanting to adopt that contains their profile that our centers might have to share with clients that might be interested in putting their child up for adoption. In my attachments I am sending you a copy of our Pro-Life Rally poster.Thank you for all your prayers and support of this ministry and continue to pray that we will have an impact in rescuing babies in jeopardy of being murdered in the womb.
In His Service,
Andrew K. Buhrow
