I Timothy 4: 1 & 2 = “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”
This morning, as I read over the morning paper, I came across an article about the current administration going in a different direction with the Department of Health and Human Services. The emphasis would be on natural family planning methods instead of using contraceptives like the birth control pill. The author of the article, David Crary, was opposed to the new direction and quoted a Dr. Haywood Brown as saying it was a “Continued move away from scientific, evidence-based policies and toward unscientific ideologies.”
The other day I read an article where a celebrity accused our Vice-President of being mentally disturbed because of his religious beliefs. I believe we are living in the days that Paul was talking about when he was writing to Timothy. I appreciate a lot of what the present administration is trying to do, but I really think it may be too little, too late. If there ever was a time that we should be actively standing up and speaking out about pro-life issues, it is now.
The number of essays turned in was down this year, but we doubled the number of videos. We changed the due date for the essays and videos to May 1st so that I could promote them in schools most of the year. I do not believe we will see more essays unless the schools require it for their English classes.
Don’t forget to come to our rally at Wildewood Baptist Church in Oshkosh, WI on April 21st. You can click on the image to download a copy of our flyer. We will again be encouraging everyone to bring a package of diapers and an offering will be taken to help support the ministry of Baptists for Life of Wisconsin.
We are working on organizing another summit for all our pregnancy center work-ers. It will be at Wyldewood Baptist Church in Oshkosh, WI June 30th from 10:00—5:00. If you are interested, let me know so we know how many to plan for.
I would appreciate your prayers for our annual meeting at Waunakee Baptist Church at 10:00 AM March 10th. We invite all of you to be there and be a part of what we are doing in this State with pro-life matters.
Thank you for all your prayers for this important ministry.
In His Service,
