“….choose you this day whom ye will serve….but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15

The context of this statement is Joshua addressing the people of Israel about how they are to live in the promised land God had given them. We know that some of the people did choose to serve the Lord, but many didn’t. As a result, those that didn’t choose to serve the Lord caused the eventual downfall of the Nation and ended up in captivity.

We are living in a time when many are not choosing to serve the Lord and, I believe, the reason our Country is in the terrible shape that it is, is because of that. We may not be able to change the direction this Country is going, but we can still resolve to keep our focus on serving the Lord as we ought.

During the month of August we were able to be in 3 churches presenting the ministry of Baptists for Life of Wisconsin. I also was at one pregnancy center meeting and involved in one pregnancy center “Funday” held as an appreciation celebration for those supporting the center.

With the start of the school year I would like to encourage churches to challenge their high school students to participate in our essay contest. The theme is “Why Planned Parenthood Should Be Defunded”. The guidelines can be found on our web site.

Alpha Women Center in Milwaukee is praising the Lord that one of their clients that had an ultra-sound of her baby has decided to not have an abortion. Another client that had an ultrasound has not responded back. Pray that she too will keep her baby. Pray also for Holly Hickey as she continues chemo for her cancer.

The Access Center in Madison is rejoicing that two of their clients made professions of faith in the Lord. They also have had five new clients in the past quarter.

The Agape Pregnancy Resource Center in La Crosse is rejoicing about their “Funday” they held to show their appreciation to all those who have been supporting the center. Over 120 people showed up for the day.

The Assurance Women’s Center in working at preparing for their annual picnic and fund raiser that will be October 2nd. You might also pray for their director, Gina Buhrow, as she not only is dealing with overseeing the operation of the center, but also closing out her mom’s estate in Wyoming.

The New Focus ministry in Watertown has been working to set up a 10 week mentoring program for ladies. The challenge has been to get clients to participate.

One concern all the centers have is the drop off of clients since the covid-19 problem. With all the free money being handed out by our government, people aren’t seeking the kind of material help we can give and then we aren’t able to share the spiritual help that they really need. Pray that women will see their real need.

Thank you for all your prayers and support of this important ministry.
