September 2025 Prayer Letter

Romans 13:11=“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” Most Christians that are faithful students of the Word of God are aware that the next great Biblical event to happen will be the rapture of the church followed by the 7 years of tribulation. According to the verse quoted here it is nearer now than it was when we first believed, and it is getting nearer with each passing day. Jeremiah lamented in 8:20=“The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.”
This month children have returned to the classroom. Each student is in a grade higher than they were last year (at least they should be), and may be even in a different building than they were. It’s a time of new beginnings and starting over. Some may be determining to establish better habits of study and ways of applying themselves. It’s important that they develop some positive goals and actions, because the day is coming when they will have to live by what they have learned.
All of us are in the classroom of life and are preparing for that day when we will be with the Lord either by death or the rapture. Let’s make sure we are focusing on learning the things we need to know and are doing the things we should be doing when our day comes.
This month our quarterly board meeting for BFLW will be held. Pray that the Lord will give us wisdom as to how we should proceed in the days ahead. We still need a lot of prayer about finding the next director for this ministry. I believe this ministry is still needed in these days.
Because school has started, I want those who have any involvement with high school students to encourage them to get involved with our essay contest. Our theme this year is “WHEN DOES LIFE BEGIN”, and the deadline is January 31st, 2026. You can get all the information and guidelines by going to www.bflw.org/essays.
The Access Center in Madison is also looking for a new director as Stephanie Larsen is also stepping down at the end of the year. She will be hard to replace. Her passion for that ministry was so obvious and I always appreciated her gracious spirit.
Thank you for all your prayers and support of this important ministry.
In Christ,
Andrew K. Buhrow
Executive Director
